General objective of the job
As the Compliance Officer focused on investments at Kemedar, you are responsible for ensuring that all investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your role involves monitoring investment operations, identifying compliance risks, and implementing strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring the integrity and legality of investment transactions and practices.
This job profile aims to attract a dedicated and experienced Compliance Officer (Investment) who can ensure that Kemedar’s investment activities are fully compliant with legal standards, effectively safeguarding the company against compliance risks and enhancing its operational integrity.

Organizational Relations
Main Duties of The Job
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance programs for investment activities, ensuring they meet all external regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Regularly audit investment procedures and transactions to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective measures.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the investment sector and interpret these regulations for the company.
- Train and educate investment staff on compliance-related matters, including legal requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with the Legal Advisor to address any legal implications of non-compliance and to update compliance practices as laws change.
- Manage communication with regulatory bodies and facilitate any external audits or investigations.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, detailing risks, audit results, and recommendations for improved compliance practices.
- Develop risk management strategies to minimize compliance risks and protect the company from potential fines and legal penalties.
- Participate in the development and review of investment products to ensure they comply with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure that compliance monitoring tools and systems are effective and up-to-date.
We expect that you have..!
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Officer) is highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in a compliance role within the investment sector, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance systems.
Language
Excellent English required
Technical Skills
Proficiency in compliance software and an excellent understanding of the regulatory environment related to investments.
Personality
Ethical, diligent, and proactive in identifying and addressing compliance issues.
Personal Skills
Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of leading initiatives and managing complex compliance processes.
