General objective of the job

As the Head of Human Resources at Kemedar, you will spearhead the development and execution of our HR strategy to support the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This role involves leading HR practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment; and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

  • The job will be responsible for managing HR operations (including Payroll), across all entities at Kemedar.

  • As the business grows we are working on running HR more efficiently, we will therefore become more centralized from an operational perspective while ensuring we use local knowledge from our HR Business Partners to service the business effectively and holistically. 

  • This position will be crucial in delivering a smooth employee experience from onboarding - to offboarding while ensuring we have regular reporting, partner with HR BP’s and manage the HRMS system.

Main Duties of The Job


  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of Kemedar.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, retain, and develop diverse top talent.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and aligns with company goals.
  • Assess training needs and monitor training programs to ensure that all employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, mitigating risks and overseeing HR policies and programs.
  • Managing an effective and high-performing team, who operates payroll  and HR Operations of the business across all our entities with a strong focus on Egypt. 

  • Implement, operate and upkeep the global HRMS system.

  • Ensure onboarding and off-boarding from an operations perspective run smoothly in accordance with the well-defined Kemedar’s onboarding and boarding plan. 

  • Personally handle all Leadership onboarding and will therefore walk them through the end-to-end process. 

  • Review and send out all HR contracts (through the team), letters, and any other employee-related documents. 

  • Delivering an excellent employee experience whilst operating efficiently in collaboration with the HR Business Partners.

  • Troubleshoot employee queries the team cannot resolve

  • Work with all HR COEs (Rewards, TA, Talent & Culture) and HRBPs to understand what the challenges and pain points are and work in partnership to resolve them. 

  • Work on projects that are HR operations related e.g. setting up another entity, setting up payroll, implementing HRMS, coordinating with legal on getting the contracts ready in compliance with Egypt labour law. 

  • Ensuring all positions, levels, and benchmark information are accurately represented in the designated HR system.

  • Coordinate Workforce planning with HRBP’s and the Total Rewards Director. 

  • Responsible for Employee Analytics, which includes regular Employee Reporting across all entities.

We expect that you have..!

Education

Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as an HR Director or similar senior HR role in a high-growth and dynamic environment, preferably in the technology or real estate sectors.

Language

Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional languages are a plus.

Computer Skills

Proficient with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with modern talent management platforms and analytic tools.

Personality

Approachable, ethical, and capable of acting with discretion and integrity in sensitive matters.

Personal Skills

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build relationships with ease and inspire trust and confidence across all levels of the organization.
