General objective of the job
As the Head of Internal Audit at Kemedar, you are charged with overseeing the internal audit department, ensuring that the company adheres to financial and operational integrity, compliance, and best practices. Your role involves leading audits, identifying risk areas, and recommending improvements to ensure that organizational processes and controls are effective and efficient.
This job profile is designed to attract a seasoned and principled Head of Internal Audit who can ensure that Kemedar operates with the highest levels of financial and operational integrity, effectively managing risks and enhancing business processes through rigorous audit practices.

Organizational Relations
Main Duties of The Job
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal audit program that addresses all areas of risk and compliance within the organization.
- Plan and conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of financial, operational, and IT systems to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Lead investigations into suspected fraudulent activities within the organization and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and present these to senior management and the board of directors.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure that corrective actions are taken promptly and effectively.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Manage the internal audit team, providing mentoring and guidance to ensure professional growth and high performance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to provide necessary information and ensure compliance with external standards.
- Assess the company’s risk management processes and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures.
- Facilitate the education and training of organizational staff in compliance and risk management areas.

Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience
Minimum of 10 years in auditing, with extensive experience in a senior internal auditing role.
Language
Fluency in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in auditing software and ERP systems; deep understanding of accounting principles and audit standards.
Personality
Ethical, meticulous, and objective with a strong commitment to transparency and accountability.
Personal Skills
Strong leadership and project management skills; capable of managing multiple audit projects and teams.

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar certification.

Matrix Structure within the Finance Department:
Under the matrix structure, specific finance personnel such as system-specific accountants report to two managers: the Controller for their functional role and system managers for their system-specific responsibilities. This dual-reporting structure is designed to optimize both functional expertise and system-specific knowledge.
System-Specific Accounting Teams
Each system, like Doringa, Camonea, and others within Kemedar, has its dedicated accounting team, which focuses on:
- Financial operations specific to the system.
- Budget management and cost analysis for the system.
- Revenue recognition and financial reporting for the system.
- Collaboration with system managers to align financial strategies with operational needs.
These accountants report functionally to the Controller for accounting standards and practices, and operationally to the respective system managers for day-to-day business relevance.
