General objective of the job
As the Legal Advisor with a focus on investments at Kemedar, you are responsible for overseeing all legal aspects of the company’s investment activities. This includes managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing legal support for transactions and investment strategies. Your role is critical in protecting the company's financial interests and maintaining its reputation in the marketplace.

Organizational Relations
Main Duties of The Job
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of investment-related issues, including mergers, acquisitions, real estate transactions, and other financial arrangements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents such as investment agreements, joint venture agreements, and contracts with partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, both locally and internationally.
- Collaborate with the Compliance Officer to monitor changes in legislation that affect the company’s investment strategies and practices.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings related to investment disputes or litigation.
- Manage relationships with external law firms and legal service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective legal support.
- Conduct legal due diligence for potential investment opportunities to identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Educate and train investment and finance teams on relevant legal issues, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on legal risks associated with the company’s investments and strategies for mitigating these risks.
- Support the Investor Relations team by ensuring that all disclosures and public communications meet legal requirements.
We expect that you have..!
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent law degree. Admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, specifically with a focus on investment or corporate finance law. Experience in handling legal matters for a public company or within a REIT is highly advantageous.
Language
Excellent English required
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of corporate finance law, securities regulation, and compliance. Familiarity with international investment laws is a plus.
Personality
Ethical, with high integrity and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Personal Skills
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing others and managing complex legal scenarios effectively.
